Target Trolls

Retailer Target was hijacked last week, a Facebook account named “Ask for Help” posed as Target’s official customer service and started responding to genuine customer’s comments. The fake account did it an abrasive tone and made the already unhappy customers even more unhappy.

Target responded with an official statement explaining that they had been hijacked but also responded with the Facebook post below. It’s another great example of a brand responding in a very human way and not getting too corporate on everyone’s butt.

Facebook Pride

Facebook have launched a “Celebrate Pride’ tool to show their support for marriage equality. It was created in response to the recent US Supreme Court ruling that same sex marriage is a constitutional right.

Mark Zuckerberg posted “I’m so happy for all of my friends and everyone in our community who can finally celebrate their love and be recognized as equal couples under the law, we still have much more to do to achieve full equality for everyone in our community, but we are moving in the right direction.”

Boost, Cadbury’s rival to Snickers, dived into the debate with the Facebook post below and achieved 3k+ shares:

The question is are Boost just as guilty as Snickers? Or is it a good timely funny response?
