We featured Tippex’s fun response to Redoute’s ‘naked man fail’ a few months back. Redoute had a bit of a disaster on their hands when a naturist managed to get himself caught full frontal in one of the fashion retailers kids’ photo shoots. The net exploded and it became a global meme. But there was more to the Redoute story than the naked man. They very cleverly deflected attention by riding the wave of the fail. In a jujitsu move they posted another 14 fails in various photos on the redoute website. This became a competition where the other fails had to be found. The winner then won clothes from head to toe – a perfect end to a crisis that started with a naked man. It recently picked up a Gold PR lion check out the case study below:

The weather has been worse than normal in the UK. Wide spread flooding has cost lives and ruined countless more. A new system has just launched that allows people to track areas that are in danger of imminent flooding in real-time. The site called Flood Alerts has been developed by Shoothill and it takes data from the UK’s Environment Agency’s network. It’s similar to the Google Maps mash-up that MSF used to monitor the Cholrea outbreak in Haiti. We hope Flood alerts proves as useful to residents in England and Wales whose homes are at risk.
