re35 – An April Fool joke that fooled many
re35 – An April Fool joke that fooled many. It had such a positive response from photographers, who wanted to resurrect their old 35mm SLRs, the creators (design company Rogge and Pott) had to put a disclaimer on the site to say it was a joke. Madrid’s DoubleYou created this for Hotmail

Madrid based DoubleYou created this for Hotmail. They helped Alejandro Bustillo, a  guy from Madrid to win back his girlfriend, Julia. Why? As the realtime soap opera played out the couple would represent the relationship between Hotmail and its users. Basically  both Alejandro and Hotmail needed to try harder and show how much they were willing to improve themselves. The 30 day campaign saw thousands of followers monitoring Alejandro’s progress as theybecame emotionally involved with the story. Alejandro had 30 days to win Julia’s heart which played out not just on Hotmail, but also on YouTube and social networks.
